EPL: The Referee & VAR’s Penalty Decision That Favored Chelsea But Went Against Arsenal Last Weekend

Different top English Premier League clubs were in action last weekend as Chelsea battled out with Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United. The Red Devils didn’t have Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad after his poor sportsmanship behavior in the mid-week game. The blues were held to a 1-1 draw thanks to Casemiro’s late equalizer for Manchester United.

Klopp’s Liverpool was taken by surprise by newly promoted Nottingham Forest. The Reds lost 1-0 to the newcomers on Saturday and league leaders, Arsenal was held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on the other hand recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over Brighton Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium.
