Arsenal have been linked with a host of new players this summer, as Arteta prepares for a big rebuild ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The likes of Alexander Isak and Manuel Locatelli have both been linked with a move to the Gunners in recent weeks, although the former has just penned a new long-term contract at Real Sociedad. Both of these stars are prime examples of players whose talents have been showcased on a global stage that attracts interest from top European clubs, despite both having an impressive season for their respective clubs coming into the tournament.
This is something that Winterburn is “Weary” of and has sent a big warning to his former club about making any rash decisions this summer.
“I think we’ve been linked with a few players at this tournament already, but I’m always weary of these situations,” Winterburn said to NetBet.
“Just because a player is performing well in a tournament doesn’t mean they’ll be a good addition.”
London understands that Arteta and Edu are set for a huge squad overhaul this summer, with a number of positions being identified that need improvement in the coming months.
