Pochettino OFFICIALLY tells Chelsea world class star can join for right fee!
But their transfer business is not done and it widely expected that a new centre-forward will make the move to London – especially as the club really struggled to score goals on a weekly basis last season.
Reports in Italy claim the two European giants have been in talks over a player-plus-cash deal after the Blues decided Romelu Lukaku has no future at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino knows that he has a very good squad, but he is lacking a proper striker to lead that attack next season and would love to add Vlahovic to the squad.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Chelsea have offered just €20million to Juve when they are asking for €40million for their 23-year-old striker, but it is claimed talks are resuming and Juventus boss Allegri has revealed what type of offer would get the deal done.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Allegri said: “I’m happy with the players we have but impossible to refuse bids will be evaluated due to the financial situation.
“I will adapt to the club’s choice, as always.”
Pundit Paul Brown recently suggested that Dusan Vlahovic is the big-name centre-forward that Pochettino wants.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “I think he could be a really interesting signing for Chelsea but it would cost a lot of money and this would be the one who will be playing for them every week.
“This would be the big-name centre forward that Pochettino I think is after. I don’t really think he’s like a Diego Costa either. He doesn’t really have that kind of aggression.
“Diego Costa was just a mean, nasty ball of aggression, which really worked for Chelsea at the time. Vlahovic is kind of more silky than that, I would almost say. A very good finisher and someone who has a range of shooting too.
“So, it will be interesting to see if they do this deal and I think he could be a success at Chelsea.”
WOULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CHELSEA?
Vlahovic is a brilliant forward that has all the ability to be a big star at CHELSEA and if they do manage to secure a deal – he would be a real statement signing from that Blues board.
This Chelsea attack is very exciting – but to challenge for that Premier League title – they need a man that can score 20-goals a season
